This is my first blog and as the saying goes; "a thousand mile journey begins with the first step." I've been teaching full time a couple of years (and substituted 3 years before that). About 3 months ago I got tired of textbooks, worksheets, and so on. I knew there must have been more to teaching than "teaching to the test." My students weren't engaged and we was all bored! I was seriously starting to judge this career move (I had been a business owner 13 years before this). I went to a PD on Google Docs back in January (put together by my Co-teacher) and my introduction to the "online classroom" began! This blog will mainly center around my continuous journal with the online education environment and my experiences as a educator. I will try to do at least a weekly post (more if time permits).
